Happy Easter!

Sun Apr 12, 2009, 6:57 PM
We've been busy recently! With this activity, we've been trying hard to upload lots of photos. Most of the shots are around Santa Barbara, including Stearn's Wharf, the harbor, Leadbetter beach, the Santa Barbara foothills and, most recently, Lake Los Carneros Natural and History Preserve.

We hope you enjoy all the photos! Remember we always welcome feedback and, just sometimes, requests :)

This is Derek.

I'm excited to see your guys' stuff up here. In the last month or so, I've really started getting back into photography. It seems to be fueled by an overwhelming desire to get back into nature. I'm barely outdoors anymore, and when I went back home to visit my parents, I was just blown away by how green everything was. I miss that.

So, I'm getting out in the outdoors and taking pictures again. I remember you guys saying that you had been hiking all the trails you could find here in SB. If you have any suggestions of where to go, I'm eager to hear them. And hell - if you don't mind an extra person on one of your trips, I'd love to tag along with you guys sometime.

Can't wait to see what other pictures you guys post.

Feel free to come along whenever you like! We have trouble finding time when both of us aren't working, but on those rare occasions another person is welcome.

Hello, everyone!
Wow, it's been ages since I've been on Deviant Art. I'm back to share what I hope will become quite a large collection of nature photography.

Expect to see work with landscapes and wildlife - both in the mountains and underwater.

Have an idea for something you think would make a cool shot? Suggest it and see if you don't see a photo of it soon!

Remember, most of my work doesn't involve studios and lighting equipment. I enjoy taking the pictures that are inaccessible to most - the ones that require scaling that rock wall to get the perfect shot.
